Duration and Working Days

Duration:
The BA B.Ed program spans over four academic years, designed to be completed within a maximum of six years from the date of admission, adhering to NCTE regulations.

Working Days:

The program requires a minimum of 200 working days per year, excluding periods of examinations and admissions. Students are expected to maintain a minimum of 80% attendance for all coursework and practical components, including teaching internships.

Eligibility, Admission Procedure, and Fees

Eligibility:
Candidates must have completed their 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board or an equivalent qualification. The eligibility criteria may include specific subject requirements as per the NCTE regulations.

Reservations and relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories will be in accordance with the applicable rules of the Central or State Government.

Admission Procedure:

Admission will be based on merit, considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, or through another selection process as per the State Government/UT Administration and university policies.

Fee Structure:

The fee structure will be determined by the affiliating body or State Government, in line with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) regulations, as amended from time to time.

Assessment

Assessment will be conducted both internally and externally, with the affiliating university determining the weightage for each component. This includes examinations, practical teaching experience, and project work.
